About Me
If you have found yourself here then you're probably wondering who I am, so let me start off by introducing myself.

My name is Ashley, I'm a Jacksonville native and an alumni of Christ the King, Bishop Kenny, FSCJ, and UNF.
When I was enrolled at FSCJ I took my first photography class. With that being said, capturing photos wasn't just something I experimented with in college.
I was around 10 years old when I asked for my first digital camera.
Growing up I was always the one taking photos and putting them into slideshows... I was that friend. I got into multimedia production in high school and I took my first photo course my freshman year of college.

The first class you have to take in photography is, Black and White Photography. In that course you shoot film, develop it yourself and make prints. It was during that process that I found out just how much I loved what I was doing. I would always be in the lab until closing, getting my hands dirty and making prints.
Finally in my junior year I declared Photography as my minor.
After graduation I started a full-time job and moved out, I was bound and determined to be as close to a real adult as I could.

So, that brings us up to present!

I started this so I would have an outlet for my photography but also because I wanted something more.
I have a strong desire to help people and I wasn't too sure if I could accomplish that through pictures but I realized that I could help people remember.
Photographs aren't just pretty pictures, they are moments that have been frozen in time and printed.

Through photography you can travel across the globe without ever having to leave your home. It's through pictures that we can see the wind blowing across the Serengeti or polar bears roaming across the arctic.
Through photographs you can travel back through time and see what your great grandmother looked like, you can rewind to your wedding day or you can go back and relive your son/daughter's first birthday.
Photos help to preserve our loved ones memories that are no longer with us.
When you look back in albums you reminisce and reflect and you probably smile.
